Birds observation
The chart below shows information about different species of birds
observed in Woodchuk County at different times of the year.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main
information and making comparisons.
The table gives information about species of birds one can
observe in Woodchuck County in summer and winter. Overall, the observer studied
eight different species. Almost every species in the table appear in the
summer, while only half of them can be seen in the winter.
Five out of eight studied species are one-season, that is,
we can only see them in the summer or in the winter. Specifically, the
bluebirds, the mockingbirds, the orioles and the vireos are expected to be observed
in the summer only, which means they travelled a long distance here for
breeding and nesting before returning home in the winter. The juncos is the
only winter species in the table.
Besides, there are species which appear in both seasons,
namely the cardinals, the crows and the woodpeckers. This shows that these
three species are not migratory birds, and they can tolerate the frigid weather
in the winter.
