Athletes
Do
you believe that professional athletes make good role models for young people?
Professional athletes bring glories to their nations
after several years of practicing alone and suffering numerous physical as long
as mental pains. They are deserved to be models for the young generations.
Professional athletes are both physically and
mentally strong, and these two abilities are necessary for not only sports but
also every work. The young people usually train only one of the two and neglect
the other. For example, students who acquire high marks in school are usually
physically ill, because they spend almost the time on studying instead of exercising.
Lots of scientific articles show that you need to possess both physical and
mental strength in order to perform well in a long period of time. Professional
chess players are all intelligent, but if they did not have a good health, they
could not endure thinking stressfully for couple of hours.
There is another valuable character young people
should learn from professional athletes, that is, you always need to try your
best before achieving any feat. Nowadays, many young people believe that sparse
pratice can also lead to success. In reality, no achievement is gained without
training day by day and struggling with yourself to move on instead of giving
up. For instance, Christiano Ronaldo, one of the best foolball player in the
world, always spends more time on the pitch than his teammates to accumulate
other skills beside the training sessions of the coach. The more you study and
practice, the more successful you will be.
Last but not least, the young should take in mind
that you must not practice too much immediately. Improve your tolerance a
little each day, and you will see how far you have gone after a year.
