Deforestation
Deforestation caused by human activity is happening in many parts of the world, with serious results for the environment. What do you think can be done to solve this problem?
Deforestation has
recently become a worldwide crime which causes severe impacts on nature,
including animals and vegetation. It is reasonable for us to together find
solutions for this serious problem.
Firstly, we need to
build a strict system of laws for this crime. Is it worth that a man who logs a
bunch of trees is prisoned half to at most a year, while the habitat needs
hundreds of years to recover? You may easily say "no", but the problem
is not that simple. Forests lie on extensive areas, so it is really difficult
to keep them under control. Cooperating with people living on the edge of the
forest and training them to be defenders of the environment is a suggest for
the government. However, a nation only is not enough. All countries around the
world, especially those sharing the border, have to unite to protect the
forests of the others, because forests do not belong to any nation but all of
us.
Building system of laws
is a solution for the present, and education is the one for the future. Instead
of teaching children that “Our country has numerous forests with great
resources”, we have to tell young generations vital functions of the forests
and the necessity to protect them. Moreover, schools may organize campaigns for
the students to paint the walls in their neighborhoods with some slogans of
inhibiting deforestation. The campaigns will greatly affect not only the
students but also the locals with various ages.
Last but not least, any
solution has to be performed by a group of people or nations. The more people
join in, the more feat we achieve.
It's ok!
