The numbers below show basic information about uses of leisure time
among different age groups. Summarize the information by selecting and
reporting the main information and making comparisons.
The table gives information about how people of different
ages use their free time.
Overall, the statistic studied the pastimes of three groups
of people: the teenagers, the people who are of labor age and the old. They are
surveyed about how much time they spend at the weekend on distinct activities, namely reading,
playing on the computer and exercising, which are intellectual, passive and
active, respectively.
According to the table, people who are 66 or older spend the
most time on reading with 60 minutes per weekend day, whereas the teenagers merely
read for 5 minutes on average. Moreover, the adolescents use 75 minutes to play
computer games in their leisure time, twice more than the others. Doing sports
and exercising are the most fascinated by 20-to-65-year-old people. They spend
2 hours on this pastime.
The teenagers prefer playing on computer, which the the most
passive among the three. On the other hand, people of working-age and the old
engage in much more positive activities in most of their time: reading and
exercising, respectively.
